Recent Client Coverage Rundown

Recent Client Coverage Rundown

It has been a particularly exciting time at Origin Comms with a lot of exciting activity going on with all of our clients. From new product releases to hosting and attending a series of exciting industry events. The team has been working hard to secure some top-tier coverage for our clients in a variety of high-brow publications such as IT Pro, Managed IT Magazine, ProSecure News Online and Industrial News.

Here is a run-down of some of the most recent client coverage we have secured:

Apricorn:

A Freedom of Information Act (FOI) submitted in 2022 showed that between September 2021 and 2022, HMRC declared 635 lost or stolen devices. Those 635 devices consist of 387 mobile phones, 244 tablets, and four USB devices.

This information was released following a request in 2022 by Apricorn who analysed the figures, revealing a 45% increase in the volume of devices lost during the same period in 2020-2021. Apricorn’s Managing Director EMEA Jon Fielding commented on the figures, explaining how they highlighted a trend of government-related device losses over a period of several years.

We secured articles covering this research in a number of publications including

Infosecurity Europe:

Infosecurity Europe is right around the corner, and we are proud to be providing PR support to the Infosecurity team again this year. We conducted some research through a Twitter poll on Infosecurity Europe’s Twitter profile addressing cyber security budgets and investment in 2023.

The outcome of the poll revealed a number of predictions for the industry over the coming year. One of the most interesting findings was that 45% of respondents said that they would like to see more investment in mental health amongst cyber security professionals.

Infosecurity Group Exhibition Director Nicole Mills commented on the poll’s findings, stating that “cyber security is an ‘always on’ industry that demands time, patience and resilience from all those involved.”

The Origin Comms team used the findings of the poll along with Nicole’s comments to put together a press release, which we placed in multiple high-profile publications including:

Wi-SUN Alliance:

Last month, we attended DISTRIBUTECH International at the San Diego Convention Centre to support our clients Wi-SUN Alliance, Apricorn and OpenADR Alliance. To read more about our time there, read our blog all about the event!

During the event, we assisted our clients Wi-SUN Alliance in carrying out a survey among senior professionals at US utility companies. Around 250 people responded to the survey, which asked them to comment on changes in the utilities industry. The survey found that 70% of respondents find energy security ‘very exciting’ at a time when concerns are high in light of major economic and geopolitical turmoil putting energy supplies at risk.

Global Director of utility solutions at Cisco, a Wi-SUN promoter member, commented on the survey’s findings saying: “Energy security and particularly cyber security is what we are being asked most about the most right now.”

We produced an article about the survey findings and got it published in a number of well-established publications such as
