Infosecurity Europe 2025

Infosecurity Europe

What was Origin Comms’ role in the event?

Origin Communications worked alongside the Infosecurity Europe team to deliver the hugely successful event as it celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025. We started work over six months in advance of the show itself. The Origin team supported the event with a programme of PR activity; including months and months of liaison with broadcast, national, trade, and technical media, and a variety of European analyst organisations. We worked to expand our media partnerships by 100% in 2025, collaborating with 30 titles in total, and liasing with over 200 titles in general, generating press coverage reaching a total circulation of over 400 million, set up speaker interviews, and cover some of the great launches and stunts taking place at the event.  We worked with over 50 exhibitors and 39 keynote speakers and hosted over 160 journalists in the press office at the show, including BBC News, BBC Click, Sky News, Financial Times, The Register, Computer Weekly and more.

What did Origin Comms do?

Lead up to the event:

Planning Exhibitors

  • The Origin Comms team put together a PR/Media kit for the exhibitors attending the show at ExCeL, London, which highlights all PR opportunities prior to the event, and on-site. Opportunities include highlighting speaker availability for media; providing news for inclusion within media alerts; taking part in vox pops, and more.
  • The team worked with exhibitors to schedule on-site interview opportunities with the media, all set up prior to the show. We worked with over 30 vendors pre-show, and on-site, to set up interviews with the media.
  • The team provided a number of creative ideas outlining ways for the exhibitors to engage with media before and during the event.
  • Shared a list of publications attending Infosecurity Europe to the exhibitors and their own PR teams, to allow them to reach out in advance.

Planning Speakers

  • Origin Communications secured over 110 media interviews and other opportunities for keynote speakers.
  • Origin Comms introduced key media such as BBC Global News, Sky News, Financial Times, and more to speakers who agree to working with the PR team, offering up commentary, quotes, testimonials and more, and therefore, inclusion within wider news pieces, interviews and features.

Press Releases

  • The Origin Comms team attended CISO thought leadership gatherings to gather hot topics and themes.
  • Several press releases were written, pitched and distributed around key themes and topics in the period of January 2025-June 2025.
  • Approached key speakers and the advisory community to collect quotes for press releases.

Event Previews

  • The Origin Comms team wrote and gained coverage of complete and thorough event previews within 10 separate publications.

During the event:

Press Office

Over 140 media personnel registered to attend under a press pass, were scanned on arrival and shown hospitality within the private press office suite. This year, we were able to set up separate areas for podcast recordings, with a branded media wall backdrop. We responded to queries on-site, set up interviews, wrote, printed and provided daily media alerts which were very well received, updated TV screens with daily info, sourced images and biographies and any other requests. We provide a calm, warm, friendly environment for the media to report from the show and conduct their interviews.

Testimonial from Jarad Carleton, Frost and Sullivan

I was very glad to have been able to attend Infosecurity Europe for the first time in 2 years. The show has always been one that is highly productive for me and easier for me to quantify the benefits of than other shows. As a result I am always able to make an easy business case to justify the travel budget.

Paula Averley, Director of Origin Communications

“In 2025, the Origin Comms team was able to double the number of media partners, exceed the amount of media interviews conducted versus previous years, and attract some of the most aspirational broadcast media within the UK, such as BBC News, BBC Click, FT, Sky News, The Register, Computer Weekly and more. Behind the scenes, (our team work) constantly with Infosecurity Europe’s organisers to establish a PR strategy that addresses each element of the show, identifying relevant stories and themes for thought leadership, as well as ways to include exhibitors, speakers, analysts, and how to shape the conference programme itself. We are a trusted partner, and we love working with the Infosec team.”

We are delighted and thrilled to represent Infosecurity Europe, the leading event for cybersecurity professionals, where we get to be involved with some of the most interesting and exciting discussions taking place within the cybersecurity industry, meet amazing people, and have fun with a fantastic team.
