UK’s Most Innovative Cyber SME 2022 finalists announced by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and Infosecurity Europe

Richmond, Surrey, UK; 19 May 2022 – Fourteen of the UK’s most creative and original information security businesses have been shortlisted in the UK’s Most Innovative Cyber SME 2022 contest, run by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) in partnership with Infosecurity Europe, Europe’s most influential information security event, and technology trade association techUK.

This is the seventh year that the organisations have teamed up for the prestigious contest, which was open to micro, small and medium cybersecurity businesses registered in the UK. The overall winner will be announced live on the Innovation Showcase stage at Infosecurity Europe 2022 (21-23 June at ExCeL London) on Tuesday 22 June at 16:45. The diverse list of finalists of the UK’s Most Innovative Cyber SME 2022 covers every aspect of the current information security and cyber threat landscape. They are, in alphabetical order:

• Cyber threat intelligence and aggregation platform Blackwired.

• Vendor risk management experts C2 Cyber.

Conatix, which applies recent advances in AI and other fields of technology to insider fraud.

CyberHive, provider of cybersecurity solutions that help organisations move into the cloud.

Ioetec, a specialist in securing data for IoT devices.

iQuila, creator of a military-grade encryption and security communications protocol that protects the device as well as the connection.

NquiringMinds, which specialises in data sharing and data analytics from edge to cloud.

Praeferre Ltd, which enables people to control and monetise their data.

• Zero Trust expert RKVST.

• Technical cybersecurity consultancy and product company Red Maple Technologies.

Risk Ledger, a platform that helps clients keep on top of their supply chain security.

SafeShark, which helps manufacturers navigate cybersecurity standards for IoT.

TryHackMe, which provides hands-on security training through real-world scenarios. 

• Secure communications expert Worldr.

The winner of the UK’s Most Innovative Cyber SME 2022 contest will receive top billing in the DCMS Cyber Innovation Zone at Infosecurity Europe 2022, two showcase speaking slots, and a feature article in Infosecurity Magazine. Runners-up will also receive an exhibition package, including an event stand, two showcase speaking slots, and marketing. All the successful companies will have the chance to demonstrate their products and solutions in the Innovation Showcase. The contest is judged by a panel of cybersecurity experts.

The DCMS Cyber Innovation Zone and Innovation Showcase at Infosecurity Europe 2022 will be the place to be to discover, scope out and evaluate the newest cybersecurity technologies and solutions, and get to grips with how they can be deployed. Businesses will showcase and demonstrate the exciting new products and services they have to offer through 15-minute presentations.
