Courses will help to address worsening skills shortage by building capabilities in the key areas of application security and cloud security.
Richmond, Surrey, UK; 21 April 2022 – Infosecurity Europe, Europe’s most influential information security event, has teamed up with NotSoSecure to provide live cybersecurity training courses at its 2022 conference and exhibition (21-23 June at ExCeL London). This is the first time the Infosecurity Europe event programme has included the opportunity for professionals to advance their cybersecurity skills through attending formal training sessions on the show floor.
The UK’s cyber skills gap widened by more than a third in 2021, according to a report by global recruitment firm Harvey Nash, with nearly half (43%) of the digital leaders surveyed admitting they had a shortage in this area. The report follows a government study which found the UK’s cybersecurity recruitment pool has a shortfall of 10,000 people a year.
Visitors to Infosecurity Europe 2022 can choose to attend a two-day course in application security or a two-day course in cloud security. Both will run on Monday 20th June – the day before the event begins – and Tuesday 21st June, giving participants plenty of time to experience everything else Infosecurity Europe 2022 has to offer once they’ve completed their training.
NotSoSecure is part of penetration testing specialist Claranet Cyber Security, which delivers elite security training at leading events and conferences around the world. It will be offering two of its most popular courses at Infosecurity Europe 2022, both of which combine theory with hands-on skills development:
Application Security for Developers: Two days, 20-21 June 2022 – 9am to 5pm (BST)
This course gives developers the skills they need to design an application that’s secure right from the outset. Delegates will gain an understanding of application security vulnerabilities, including the industry standard OWASP Top 10 list, and learn strategies to defend against them.
Hacking and Securing Cloud Infrastructure: Two days, 20-21 June 2022 – 9am to 5pm (BST)
This course cuts through the mystery of cloud services to uncover the vulnerabilities beneath, and how to use penetration testing to look for them. It also covers the latest hacking techniques used to target cloud services and infrastructure, and how to protect against them. The course is designed for architects, developers, pentesters and security and DevOps engineers.
Both courses cost £1,750 if booked before 30th May, and £2,000 from 1st June. They can be booked via the Infosecurity Europe website here.
